I'll third DUNE. I have seen the awful movie, but I would love to read the book. I think I never read it because the movie was so bad.

I'll also third Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I love PKD. His story concepts are so interesting. Blade Runner was the movie of this book. Interesting, dark, depressing, depending on the movie ending one saw. I saw The Adjustment Bureau that was a PKD short story. Good as well.

Blindsight had me until it talked about genetically engineered vampire. I'm going to third Halting State by Charles Stross and I'm putting it on my potential reads list because it just sounds so geeky that I'd love it. |
