One of the aspects of going to high school in Baltimore is that you read a lot of Menckin and Poe -- a very large amount of Poe.

Poe felt that Eureka: A Prose Poem was his masterwork.Long before scientists developed the "big bang" theory of the origin of the universe, Poe wrote about it. (About 80 years before.)

This is not The Raven, The Bells, or even Murder on the .... It stands alone as a unique offering from a gifted writer. A final offering completed and published shortly before his death.
