Installation Interrupted on Windows XP 32-bit

Hello!

I've spent some time browsing this forum for possible solutions to above-mentioned issue. I'll explain it in detail:

A friend has got a Sony Reader PRS-300 and is trying to install it on her laptop, which runs the regular Windows XP, 32-bit. However, when trying to run the installation, she gets an error message saying that the installation has been interrupted.

I'm positive her computer has the performance to handle the Sony Reader, and I can assure you that it is not down to the issue with 64-bit OS. Is there anything else that may be causing this?

Thanks in advance,
Chrill

PS. When choosing region, a list of about 8 countries is presented. Among these are not Sweden. Could it be down to a region issue? She's running a Swedish-language version of Windows XP, with Service Pack 3 installed

Does this mean that the actual e-book will work properly anyway? If yes, which features is she missing out on?

I have an older model but it still should be the same, the device connects as a removable drive and you copy your books to it. I use calibre to convert my books with.
