Seriousness Looking for music player software for Win 2000

Howdy all,

Looking for a software music player recommendation for a Win 2000 machine. There are two requirements. One, it must play WAV files. Two, it must allow correct zero inter-track gap processing (in other words, it can be set so the there is no time inserted between music tracks.) I tried Media Monkey, but it failed on item two. It overlapped the tracks.

Ideas, anybody....

Winamp should be able to do that, you might have to change some buffering settings though, you did have to do that on slow computers in the days when people still used 2000. If the current versions don't work on 2000 you can get any old version.

Winamp 2.8 classic, the best version before the inflation of useless gadgets IMHO

I would try foobar2000
mean, lean, ...

There really is such player. Made by one of authors of Winamp.
User interface is extremely spartan and skinless!.
There are lots of modules, plugins and filters available.

Oh, and it plays wav files one after another without any pause between ...
