Seems they just keep finding better, easier ways......I haven't actually began the hack on either of mine............probably a good thing at this point.......the wife has been happy with it as is.......and the other will be a birthday gift.........maybe this weekend though..........by then it may be automatic

Rock solid stable. kewlguy was the guy who identified the cause of the flash looping and created a preventative method for people to use in flashing from an OP firmware to a non-OP firmware version.

His custom firmware has the safe-guard built-in along with the most useful and stable patches and hacks.

IMO, his firmware is the new gold standard. As I mentioned earlier, it is essentially what I created for myself manually. kewlguy's firmware brings that option to those who are not tech savvy.

bullwing, here's a link the the firmware subforum.

if you already are running the open platform firmware from pandigital, it's probably easier to just flash some of kewlguy's add-ons instead of his complete firmware.

is it a pandigital novel 6" that you have? I am having problems with mine and would like to know how to reset it. Orientation wont work, it stays on portrait even when settings are changed. Book refresh after uploading takes hours, and now today the worst: stuck on page and wont turn off
