I was really surprised when I couldn't find any English version of this book online. It was written in 1524; surely there must be a PD English translation available?

It would be really nice if some of the books in our library that are LRF formatted could be made available in ePub as well. It remains the most popular format in the library although mobi is close behind.

I had a look at those several months ago. Tried converting with Calibre with unusable results, and with the ABC Amber Sony Converter with results that are usable but still would demand an awful amount of work.
Is there a decent converter around that I've missed?

Unfortunately Wood, who created these, is dead, and I well remember how much work he put into them. Creating a decent ePub version would probably involve going back to the original source material. Wood spent years on it - it would be a considerable undertaking for someone. A nice long-term project, though.

Thank you very much. Nice job. Much better than the Internet archive which is full of typos although they do have a couple of nice pictures at the beginning. I just found them a few days ago.

Harry, sometimes peeps don't realise that works are in copyright, for example, I was under the impression that Wodehouse's works were in the public domain until you told me otherwise.

On the subject of lrf and epub, PLEASE keep the lrf's for those of us with old readers.

These were not "classics", but modern books. The poster knew damned well that they were protected by copyright. We will not tolerate requests for pirated books here.
