Five Days in Skye: A Novel by Carla Laureano is her standalone f/m contemporary romance set in Scotland, featuring a celebrity TV chef and the hospitality consultant who discovers that he's nowhere near as bad a boy as his public image makes him out to be, free courtesy of Christian publisher David C. Cook.

Some of the customer reviews note that while there is a faith-affirmation element incorporated into the plot, they say it's very low-key and understated and does not dominate the story. Alas, it would seem that there are no bonus recipes* included in this, not even as separate downloadable book club notes like some of the other DCC novel freebies have had.

* Not gonna lie, I was kind of hoping for deep-fried Mars bars and/or vegetarian haggis, although in some circles I suppose either or both of them might be considered abominations unto the Lord.
