Can the Sony Reader see multi-level Table of Contents.
I recently purchased the first Maximum Ride boxed set from nook.com. The Table of Contents has the three books in the boxed set as the top level TOC and under each book there is a second level of TOC for each Chapter. It seems that the nook (and the Kindle also - I decrypted and converted using Calibre), cannot display anything but the top level of table contents, so when I go to the TOC, all I see is the three books.
Can Sony Readers handle this any better? |

Sony readers have no trouble with multi-level TOCs. That is to say, my 650 has no problem with them in EPUB files - which are all I use.

Yep, I have at least a hundred different EPUBs on my PRS-650 that use multi-level TOC, and they work perfectly.

The problem is the device firmware and not the book itself. The new Nook & Nook Color don't display multi-level TOC. On the other hand, the Nook mobile app does display multi-level TOC. Who knows why they have this functionality on their mobile app but not their ereaders?! It is very frustrating and is a common complaint over in the B&N forum.
