ChrisF, too bad the S9 doesn't work optimally with your phone. Are you sure your phone supports all of the S9's features? Also, my S9 volume buttons work with the eDGe, but the forward, rewind, and pause buttons don't work. Amazing that your microphone works fine. I have a dud in that department!

Eddy R, glad you're happy!

But your mic works well with your phone, right? It's difficult for people to hear me when I use the mic with my phone.

Has anyone had any experience using the Jabra BT8010 with the eDGe?

So last night, my toddler took my Motorola S9 out of my bag and jumped on it...*le sigh*...and now I gotta buy a new wireless headset. You folks know of something better than the S9 that I should consider?

NiaTrue,

after reading some user reviews I have bought a Nokia BH-505.
It's working fine with the edge and it's keeping good contact.

It can pair up to 8 devices and receive telephone calls from your bt telephone while you are listening music from your edge.

greetings,

Jos

Plantronics Back Beat 906 - works in general, yet ...

Plantronics Back Beat 906 - works in general, yet ...

Pairing/connecting to the EE. Sound from the EE Audio player goes to the Plantronics Back Beat 906.

The play/pause button on the Back Beat is not fully supported with the EE Audio Player. The playback on the Audio player doesn't pause, when pressing the pause button on the Back Beat. on the headset the sound is pause, while the Audio player still continues to play.

Also the connection quality is lower for EE compared with a ipod touch. Moving with headset on the sounds drops more often in the same distance compared with the touch.

Is there another audio player for android that supports a pause/play button headset with the EE?

I like the Plantronics Pulsar 590A, though they are not as compact as the other suggested models. Sound great though.

I'm still sitting on the fence and haven't bought another pair yet, but I'm leaning toward the Nokia BH-505, which claims to be sweat-resistant. Since I'd wear them a lot while working out, that'd be a handy feature. It was a drawback of the Motorola S9, which was definitely not sweat-resistant. The Plantronic sounds wonderful, but they don't look comfortable to wear while working out.

Thanks, all!

Are any of these things water (read "sweat") resistant? I am often mistakenly accused of being part moose, what with the profusion of bestial musky perspiration and all.

The Jaybird is supposedly favored by athletes because of it's sweat-resistance. It's got a hefty pricetag though: $129.99. If you haven't already read this thread from the beginning, check out my comments about the Motorola S9 and its sweat/water issues. Despite this, I loved those headphones and may yet buy another pair.

I have a great pair of sweatproof headphones. Drawback is that they're not wireless. They are made by a company called Auria. You can get them on Amazon or health expos before big runs. They do sit in the ear but not like earbuds. They sort of just hang over the edge of your ear and are super comfortable. They feel sort of loose but they do not move and the sound is great. You can also hear ambient noise, have volume control on the wire and they have a speaker and work with smartphone voice controls (including the iphone).
