Das nenne Ich mal eine Klasse Ankündigung da Ich selber nur ein Gerät suche ohne Extras. Jetzt hoffe Ich nur das man noch Infos oder Videos bekommt wo man mehr erfährt.
Welche Art Display?
Wie kommt der Reader mit PDF klar?
Wie stark spiegelt das Display?

Hoffe Ihr habt auch Quellen wo man vielleicht etwas zu dem sehr interessanten Oyo erfährt.

Hi,

wirklich interessant.

Er sieht auf den Bildern zwar etwas zu sehr nach Plastik aus, aber das macht der Preis wieder wett.
Das Format des Readers sagt mir besonders zu. Endlich mal ein Hersteller, der es verstanden hat, dass ein schmaler Rahmen um das Display reicht.

Die Anbindung an Thalia und damit der direkte Zugang zu deutschen Büchern ist natürlich ein großer Vorteil des Readers.

Trotzdem könnte ich mich nicht dazu durchringen den Reader zu kaufen. Das mag aber daran liegen, dass ich den Kindle 3 gerade erst ein paar Tage hier im Einsatz habe und nicht mehr missen möchte.

ich habe zwar schon ein kindle 3 bestellt, aber der kommt nicht vor dem 20.

Weiß jemand zufällig ob das Display auf Glas oder Plastik aufbaut, wegen der Bruchanfälligkeit. E-Ink Displays sind ja auf Glassubstrat gebaut und Sipix sollte sich auch auf Plastik realisieren lassen, aber ich habe bisher halt noch nichts definitives gehört.

SiPix sind auf Augenhöhe mit den aktuellen E-Ink Displays (gefühlt etwas langsamer), können aber nicht mit den neuen Pearl Displays mithalten.

Es hätte mir besser gefallen ohne Touchscreen und WiFi und noch billiger, aber dann natürlich hätte Thalia nichts davon. Touchscreen erfodert zwei Hände und (denke ich) verschmutzt das Bildschirm.

Tut es. Auch für mich ist ein Touchscreen bei einem Reader unnötig, aber W-Lan ist schon wichtig. So kann man die Inhalte leichter laden.

Und hier die offizielle Thalia Seite . Wobei hier unter Features steht: "DRM-freie Formate: Epub, PDF, TXT, HTML ". Wär jetzt schon ein bißchen lachhaft, wenn der kein DRM kann (vorzugsweise Adobe Blubb).

Andererseits wären " mehrere hunderttausend eBooks zum Verkaufsstart" in DRM-frei natürlich ein Traum

Sieht zumindest hübscher aus als das Acer Ding. Mal sehen, wie sich Touch und Lesbarkeit vertragen. Wobei Touch nur zum Blättern/online Shop navigieren ohne Notizfunktion schon ein bißchen mager ist. Da hätte man es meiner Meinung nach gleich lassen und billiger machen können. Und WLAN wird für mich persönlich auch nur in Zusammenhang mit Abonnements interessant. Womit wir wieder bei den erweiterten Inhalten wären.

Fassen wir zusammen: Eine großartige Ankündigung bzgl des Angebots deutsch-sprachiger Inhalte. Was das Gerät selbst angeht: Konkurrenz belebt das Geschäft. Und mal sehen, was es in der Praxis kann.

Wobei es den großen Vorteil haben wird, einer der wenigen Reader zu sein, die man in Deutschland tasächlich in einem Laden um die Ecke anfassen und Probelesen kann.

Also ich werd's auf alle Fälle tun.

" Du meinst, das Gerät wird nur verschickt? Ich war davon ausgegangen, dass man es auch Vorort kaufen kann. Ohne vorherige Bestellung. Aber stimmt, das ist widersprüchlich formuliert. Noch ein Punkt für "erst mal anschauen".

Vor Ort kaufen kannst du es schon. Aber du kannst ein online bestelltes Gerät nicht in einer bestimmten Filiale abholen. Und DAS kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.

Bei Weltbild kannst du z.B. alles online bestellen und dir in eine Filiale deiner Wahl zusenden lassen. Alles, bis auf Lesegeräte.
