Hi,

How to insert a back cover?

I never bother. I just add a link button on the last page called [ close ] which takes the reader back to the front cover. However, you can insert a back cover just like any other page - it does not need any special treatment.

For the front cover i've used an image of 600 x 900 px. No scroll bars apears. But when using an image for back cover the scroll bar apears. Which means that the image must be smaller or there must be predefined something just for the front cover.

Just as a test, what happens if you use a copy of your front cover file for the back cover? Do scroll bars still appear? What are you using as your reader?

It seems to work but first insert backcover image file (cover) than rename cover as backcover. After that insert the frontcover image file as cover. The backcover must be at the end of all files (cover - chapters - backcover).

So resizing your back cover image to the same size as the front, and then using in your backcover file, (correctly referenced last in the OPF as you have already said), should also work without any scroll bars.
