Weird epub happenings

I had something weird happening while I was reading the new epub ebook Fragment by Warren Fahy. About 40 pages before the end of the book the rotating arrows would appear on the screen for about a second about every 2 page turn I did(which was getting a bit annoying). When I got to the end of the chapter and started a new chapter it stopped doing it.
It was a pretty long chapter and I remember something about a epub section limit that the Sony 505 has. Would that have been causing it or maybe something else ?

It may be the problem ; can you try converting the ebook with Calibre ? Of course it wouldn't be a true conversion, as the file is already in the ePub format, but Calibre should produce a nicely formatted file, compliant with the Mobile ADE requirements...

I've put the ebook back on the reader and tested it again and it does happen again. It started at page 233 of 274. Must be the way that particular chapter is formatted because the page turning was a little slow and other chapters did not do it.
Not that I am too worried about now that I have finished reading the book but I hope this is not going to be a common occurance with Harper Collins epub titles.

If you can strip off the DRM, then you can have a look at the ePub and see what id causing the problem and see if you can fix it.

Ethically that might be fine, but be aware of the legalities of stripping off DRM in your locality.

Right, Jon?
