Post Marryat, Frederick: The Phantom Ship v1 30 dec 2008

Harry T made a (cool) version of this book before: LRF and later Mobi. These versions are really good.

I wanted to post my own version because
1. there is no IMP version yet
2. my look and feel is quite different from Harry's version
3. I post an epub version, too (Thanks to Kovid. His Calibre epub conversion works really good now)

So here it is:

Quote:
If this story is about a ghost ship, it certainly is a haunting one. So much happens in the book that just does not normally happen in books, such as a burning at the stake in an auto-da-fe. Uncanny characters keep turning up, in the form of a strange-eyed pilot, a local priest far from the diocese in which he should be working, and of course the Phantom Ship itself, each of its appearances presaging some fresh disaster. I have had people write to me to complain that this book is not suitable for children, which most of Marryat's books certainly are, so make up your own mind before letting your children see this book.
Comes from Athelstane via Internet Archive

Have fun!

PS: As for Ballantyne, I will try to post Marryat's work in its entirety, which is a lot easier than Ballantynes (only 27 novels)
