I have restored accents and added curly quotes, though rather regretted doing so when I realised that one cockney character persistently dropped his aitches and every single inverted comma needed to be checked.

heh ! i feel for you ! it's crazy when it starts to take longer to format a book than it will to read it... that will teach you to do things right...
