She has gone way past moderation as she had gone way past being a simple user...

This is really tragic news. Patricia was on of the first to extend her greetings to me when I got here. My best wishes go to her family. I am thinking of her and them.

I've been away. I never visit the Lounge and am not sure how I stumbled on this tragically sad thread...I almost wish I hadn't.
I can think of nothing to add to what's been said many times and in many different ways. As numbingly sad as it is for us who only knew her through her benign presence on MR, I dare not think how hard it is for those close to her. Words fail me. d |

I only can chime in humbly and say, that I, too, feel a great loss.
Her tone certainly set standards here at MR. I have downloaded and read quite a number of books provided by her. At times, when looking for new books, I just filtered by her name, as the literature, provided through her often met my taste. Never having met her or discussed with her (even on this quite abstract digital basis) I still feel, I would have liked her a lot. My condolescences to her partner and family. |

I have been on a few posts at MR lately where Patricia's presence would have made a world of difference.
May her memory shine brightly. Cheers. |

I'd drifted away from reading most threads lately, and hadn't known until just now.
I'm sorry she's gone and wish many belated condolences to her family and friends. |

Pat's memorial service is today (16th). I light a candle for her memory, and have a quiet moment of reflection and loss.

You will be missed, Patricia... It always impressed me the fact that you were always so gentle and warm... Thank you for everything.

i did go to the service and the burial. the service was sad but nonetheless really lovely, i think it was a worthy tribute to her. and, something that i found really touching, and which i am sure you will all appreciate as well, one person spoke about Patricia's participation here, explaining a bit about the forum and what her involvement was, and read a few of the messages from this thread. i am glad that after she made such a difference here, mobileread was represented in her memorial. i'm back home now, still a bit under the shock of it all. i'll be thinking of her a lot in the coming days and weeks. |
