I am personally very grateful to be here today. It is a great privilege to be able to represent those who have worked so hard and for so long for such an event as this one. As all of my 5th grade students back at Lincoln Elementrary know well, it is only through persistent hard work that real progress is made. It was President Lincoln himself who wisely said "Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built." We know this is true and, by our example, our children will know that this is true, too. It is only through own efforts, our strength of personal character, and the accomplishments that come from working together that we can all become worthy citizens of this great nation. As President Lincoln said, "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."

Right then.
We're obviously going to need a sub-committee RIGHT AWAY to develop a policy on sprinkles, whether it's possible that there are good sprinkles and bad sprinkles and, if so, how to distinguish between them. I don't think this can wait. |

You liberals, you're just here for my wallet. Rights? Rights?? Forget rights. What about my taxes?! Do you know how much I pay in taxes? Geez Louise! Each year, it just goes up and up. And look at gas - it's four bucks a gallon, for christ's sake! Here I am paying out the wazoo while you lazy kids go to college and party on about rights and change. You're lazy and you're sick! Try getting a job and paying for a mortgage. Then you'll yell about change - the change in your pockets!

Puppy has had too much sugar this morning. Until he works all that energy off, put the cupcakes up on top of the fridge where he can't climb up and get any. Now somebody go throw a ball to him until he is all tuckered out.

I am here to vote to protect our nation and our way of life - one which so many have fought so hard for. I fear for the safety of our country both from within and without. There are those abroad who would terrorize our great nation by using weapons of hatred against us while reaping the benefits of the prosperity we have brought to the world. And there are those among us who would thoughtlessly trample our basic values of family, honor, and our personal rights of freedom. Our liberties and our values are precious to us and we must defend them to the bitter end, if needed.

Vivaldi seems to be jumping message a bit. Is he reading from the teleprompter, or is he watching the Fox news feed? Someone put The Daily Show on for him (and make sure you turn it off before The Colbert Report).

At least if you all voted for Bill and Opus you would KNOW what you'd be getting. All Bill wants is unlimited free health care, a generous pension for life, the right to party nightly, free postage, free secret service protection, free air travel, and free food, (and libation) and a guaranteed best seller for any book he chooses to write.
Now is that so much to ask for such an important job? er.....what was the job again? |

Well, pshwynk, my good man (llama), it seems you've got your work cut out for you. Good luck keeping the masses appeased. I think I'll head over and grab one of those cupcakes before they start playing "Hail to the Chief".
