Memory Error and crashs
I have Sigil 0.6.1 install.
Sigil is crashing even time I open it will a epub file to edit. But not after open it, but after having it open and editing. Its seems random what cause it to crash. I'm including some screenshot of the error if that help. I'm on XP sp3 and I also have the old 0.5.3 also installed, but it does not crash like all the 0.6 branches have even that beta I have tryed. Not sure if its because I also have 0.5.3 installed. Don't want to uninstall till I'm sure the newer version works. If anyone can help. Thanks Example of tile I open with is the beta Sigil guide and well has fully finish epub files. |

The error says you are having trouble writing to memory in a certain location. Is this an overactive antivirus program, a virus or a computer failure? Are you having memory troubles with other programs?

No, I'm only having trouble with the 0.6 branch of Sigil. I'm not having trouble with 0.5.3 or any other program. Also, Webroot SecureAnywhere was turn off at the time. thanks. |

Found the problem
I try uninstalling all versions that were on my computer including 0.5.3 and a beta version that I forgot about and then reinstall the new 0.6.2. So far I have not had any issue with it. I thought it could be an issue that was conflicting with old version that was installed, but I didn't want to lose accesses to the old version should I uninstalled it and it didn't work. But I try anyway and it work out. Praise God So I learn two things: 1. Don't installed two different versions at the same time 2. Keep a copy of old version so if the new version don't work you can reinstall the old version |
