The T1 has a new OS. Problems are to be expected initially; it's only software and can be updated. I do hope Sony takes any problems seriously and upgrades the firmware.

Not to worry ... next year's T2 will have all the fixes you're looking for!

Sony definitely does leave customers feeling left out in the cold. Their software has always been sub par. And their support of older devices could be better. How about spending some money and releasing some of the features of the T1 for the x50 models as a firmware upgrade. Fat chance of that happening. They could do a better job of keeping people interested.

Now that the Sony has been hacked I noticed that a user who had installed the Kindle App was changing pages inside the Kindle App by just tapping, no swiping needed. I wonder if this will prevent those using this App from seeing any page flipping/freezing problems?

Oh no, wait, truly, this deserves two: You got me there. I have to confess. I am a Kindle. No, no. I am THE KINDLE. We have broken free of the Amazon servers, and now are attacking the competition. Last edited by vxf; 10-25-2011 at 04:06 PM. |

I thought "THE KINDLE" required a karma value that matched his evilness, see attached.

I've only had the T1 for a few days and I already really like the thing. I no longer regret buying it, and it's quickly become my favorite.

Be careful. I'm pretty sure it was my little pink 350 that hexed my T1.....Though it could have been my K3...Yeah let's blame the K3.

Yeah, its fine, but they could have backported the multiple fonts they support in the T1. Could have taken care of some other small annoyances that people have complained about. But they historically never update the software on the reader itself, which is a bit of a downer.

I sincerely hope they don't. All of the previous models PRS505 to PRSx50 (with custom firmware PRS+ installed) have much better font support than the PRST1. The T1's extra font support is so buggy that Sony have acknowledged it in the User Guide.
