Phoenix Oolong in my cup. Oatmeal in my other mug. Water in a third. Pneumonia seems to finally be gone. Today is the first morning that I have woken up and not had any urge to cough, not noticed a gurgle of any sort, not needed the inhaler, and generally felt like things are back to normal. Fingers crossed...

Hi, everyone! Sorry I've been missing. My contract ended November 30, and I've been avoiding the computer in a major way, taking a break. But still enjoying tea (and single malt, of course.)

I also taught a class for local folks on how to make dry cured bacon. This was for the local Live and Learn initiative, part of the non-profit One Straw Society here on the Coast. The class was fun, and we were able to see all five stages of dry cured bacon, from raw pork belly to the final product coming out of the smoker. I've agreed to do at least a couple more classes for them, and I'll probably repeat this one at some point, since we had to turn away several folks.

Big mug of Keemun tea today, and some fresh Nan-like bread spread with a little bit of olive oil and za'atar. Pretty tasty.

Internet guy is supposed to be here this morning to upgrade our equipment. Frankly, I don't see how he's going to improve our download speed of 74.83mps but 'they' claim it will... Well, the speed tests are instantly available...

Well we are on BT Infinity 2 Fibre-optic, supposedly the fastest widely available broadband option in the UK, and on that test I get 28Mbps. We are so far behind the Asian countries it's laughable.

A very small glass of coke, to take me up to my 600 calorie limit for the day. I wonder why I'm bothering, as the world ends tomorrow (Just not in Japan, apparently).

Milk oolong. Taking a break from getting the house in some type of order before the family comes to town. Five kids between the ages of 9-14 and five adults. Should be fun. It will be fun just a bit busy.
