The site worked fine for my K3. It just doesn't claim to recognize the device, but it still generates a PID. Of course, since thinking about it in this thread, as I said before, perhaps random numbers would have worked in my case.... I'm torn between wanting to understand the internals of how this stuff works, and not caring, because once everything is set up, everything just works seamlessly from any book source.....
