You might also totally break your book, depending on how your reader works. If you just delete the .css file and don't go through and remove any references to it from the HTML files and the .opf file, some readers may throw errors and refuse to read the book because it's referencing a file that doesn't exist. If you want to kill all styles, you'd be better off just emptying the .css file rather than deleting it.

thanks for all the help - I followed the tweak epub - edit left margin settings advice for my problem book & it fixed the mobi margin issue for me.

the process looks worse than it really is, when you read the scary instructions.
I went with tweak epub & with notepad++ for the css file edit & it was pretty slick after all.
