Philip K. Dick did it, with the Japanese, so why not Sarban with something slightly different?

From the Wiki:

"His most famous story is the alternate history-novel The Sound of His Horn (1952) which presupposes that the Nazis have won World War II and built amusement parks where they hunt genetically altered humans for sport."

Like all the books I assemble on MobileRead, this too was assembled to reflect human intervention and artistic judgment.

I hope you enjoy it.

Must resist bad play on words. Must resist bad play on words. Must... Oh the heck with it!

Did Sarban ever co-author any books with Oxley?

If he did I hope Congress repeals them. They did nothing to protect the ones they were designed to protect, gave them a false sense of security, and cost the companies involved in their creation a lot of money along with wasted time and effort.

Hey RWood, you are talking about my bread and butter! I have been working on the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) program for a major company formerly headquartered in Seattle for the last four years.

And while some of what you say is true, the fact remains that most of the requirements of SOx are essential parts of any financial accounting practice.

The alarming part is just that people see this as a waste of time, when it should always have been business as usual. That said, for a really effective method of ending financial scandals, I recommend bringing back the guillotine.

And with that, I will end this off-topic rant.
