Thanks for supplying the maths - I was lucky it could be answered by instinct too .
A quick pop-quiz/pub-quiz now: 1. A crossword-style question. Fill in the missing word: "_ A _ _ _" Clue: "H, I, J, K, L ,M ,N ,O" 2. The letters in the word STAGNATION have only one anagram in the English language, what is it"? 3. What’s your religion if you are worshipping in a mesgid? 4. What is a four letter word ending in "k", which means to have intercourse? 5. In a full 24-hour day, how many times would the hands of a clock overlap? |

Correct. The confusion arises because a Mesgid is the falasha term for a synagogue, as opposed to Masjid, the Arabic term for a large community mosque.

I'm off to bed now, and the only question left is the anagram for STAGNATION. I'll leave it open, and will confirm the answer tomorrow, but as Paul has answered 3 correctly, it's back to the mouse!

I meant extra food (like the people you suggested) brought in from outside. I thought it was clear in context. Apologies if it was not.

101 - 102 = 1 Move one number to make the equality correct. (And I don't mean move a 1 over the = to make an ≠ sign! It should remain an equality, not an inequality.) |
