ThatGoogle e Account is also needed for real Gmail support, or syncing Calendar or other features to Google Cloud, and is missing here. you can't set it up, period, and that does bother me a bit. Looking for a source which says Kobo chose not to license it, thuogh. Official source, that is.

Go to m.opera.com and it should offer a Direct Download link. That's how I got the APK. The first one will be for the Market version, so skip that one.

I installed it from dropbox.
The process I followed was that I used the installed browser, navigated to dropbox, signed in with my dropbox account and downloaded and installed the dropbox app from there. I then use my computer and saved the other apps into my dropbox file (My Dropbox). If you do this, when you press an apk from within dropbox on your Vox, it will start the install process. The first app I installed, btw, after dropbox was the Opera browser, it has made the Vox so much more usable, IMO. Last edited by taming; 11-01-2011 at 01:10 PM. |

as pointed out by taming, http://www.freewarelovers.com/android has a pretty extensive library of apps. I was able to find most of the apps I was looking for through their search.

When I search for an app, I often put the what I am looking for and the word apk in my browser search bar, if I know the entire apk file name, I search on that. So, for example, I might search on Dolphin apk or DolphinBrowser.apk. Generally you will find a slew of sources. It is then your job to figure out if the source is reliable enough to use.
freewarelovers does have a whole lot of apps, so does apktop.com. Some folks think that apktop is pretty sketchy. |

Where can I download apps like Kindle for my Kobo Vox? I can't seem to do it on either their app store or the android market?
