We need a cosmic cleaner
Like a lot of children in the 1960's I watched and followed the race to the moon with real enthusiasm. It was top notch entertainment and fingernail biting stuff.
So it's a bit of a dampener to see this video animation of the space junk left circling the planet. It makes me think we need a real "Dark Star" team. Their role was traversing space and eliminating unstable planets. I think eliminating unstable junk around the planet will become a necessary role for the future - providing the planet has one. |

I still have Dark Star on VHS. That may have been their assignment, but, given their results, I would not be in any hurry to have Dark Star in orbit around Earth!!!

Ooo, you're gonna make me go re-watch "Dark Star", aren't you?! That's a great clip! I have Dark Star somewhere on VHS and more recently sprung for a DVD version too.

Hey we've run out of budget for the alien scene. Where's your kid's beach ball?
I wonder if that's where Joe Satriani got the idea for his album. Last edited by wannabee; 08-20-2013 at 08:07 PM. Reason: added Joe's cover |
