Somehow the idea of an Oban slushy at the price of Oban up here is a bit more than I can handle. Especially since I strongly suspect that the watering down would not improve the Oban.

A cheap Italian red wine from Tesco. It's like dishwater.

Fair comment, but you do get what you pay for, and some of their more expensive wines are just fine. And by "their", I don't mean Tesco branded, rather just wines they happen to sell. I'm quite partial to a Chateauneuf du Pape for instance. My problem was that I had forgotten my wallet, so only had £8 in my pocket in loose change, and from that I needed to buy myself dinner and a bottle of wine. I manfully rose to and achieved my challenge, but am now suffering the consequences...

A glass of Antoine de Clevecy champagne.
Not celebrating, just miscalculated how much champagne we needed as gifts for the teachers of my youngest son leaving primary school so had one bottle left over. Obviously wine just doesn't keep well, so we had to drink it |

Blue Sky, sunshine, what a day to take a walk in the park.
Ice cream, daydream till the sky becomes a blanket of stars. What a day for pick-in' daisies and lots of red balloons. And what a day for hold in' hands and being with you. Lazy Day, just right for lovin' away Lazy Day, made for a stroll in the lane; Baby, you and me (baby, you and me) And the honey bee ('neath a shady tree) Lazy Day, Lazy Day, Lazy Day for you and me. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brDv45Fatt0 ) Good morning, all! It looks like a perfect day outside my window! But back in 1861, Union troops begin a 25 mile march into Virginia for what will become the First Battle of Bull Run, the first major land battle of the war. Not such a good day for them, as Stonewall Jackson chased them all the way back to Washington! Nobody's chasing me though, so I'm going to enjoy this day, starting with a mug of unbranded Keemun tea and some green stuff from the Food Lady! Then I'll make my march into the Old City, not a 25 mile march, just 5k, but enough to get the job done! Stitchawl |

Skipping the Zinfandel tonight -- my stomach is bothering me a bit. I've got a glass of milk and some cornbread while I wind down with some reading.

Too hot for Talisker for the last 5 days, and it looks like today will be more of the same, but hopefully the last.
Drinking lots of tea, too much Diet Coke, and not enough water. Right now, Anniversary Breakfast Blend. |
