How Does One Elevate Fontview.exe within Sigil 6.0?
Hello;
I added fontview.exe to open fonts within Sigil, but when I do so I get a message that the file is not a valid font. It is, however, because fontview.exe can open the file normally outside of Sigil. I'm thinking that Sigil might not elevate fontview to administrator, so how do I do this? If this isn't the problem, how do I get the "call" to work properly. Any other tested suggestions or alternatives would also be much appreciated. Thanks... |

Sigil will not elevate privileges. It will run the command you're asking it as the user Sigil is running as.

I found a freeware solution, Fastfontpreview, at http://www.lanmisoft.com/fastfontpreview.htm It not only lets me view and copy font info but also calls fontview.exe without a hitch. |
