Table of Contents - html to Mobi problem

I'm getting an odd error with Calibre 0.6.42...

I create a simple document in OpenOffice - use only H1 headers, and generate a ToC in OO - import into Calibre and get epub and Mobi output.

Despite the fact that I've removed the 'auto-generate' function, all chapter detection settings, the Mobi out file gives me a ToC on the BOTTOM of the document as well as the top. The Epub output file is as it should be - a ToC at the top.

Any ideas? Totally confused here...

I believe, if checked, the Do not add Table of Contents to book option under Preferences - Conversion - MOBI Output prevents the bottom TOC from being created.

Although I know of nothing specific that addresses this, updating to the newest version would be a good starting point.

I'm relatively sure ePub doesn't create a TOC on top or bottom. I may be mistaken but isn't the inline TOC that you see at the beginning of your file also in your original document? The auto generated TOC for ePub is not inline but is a menu item.

I've never created MOBI files so my guesses were limited to my initial thought. Hopefully someone with more knowledge with MOBI will step up.
