If there was a subforum, each member could start a thread to list her own books...similar to how such things work on Goodreads.

I hope the star chamber is addressing this topic; either stickies or a new subforum. can we have some feedback?

While we discuss the matter further, we've moved all the "Read 100 Books" threads to the "Reading Recommendations" forum. They fit there a lot better than "General Discussions". We are discussing the requests that have been made. |

Thank you!
Hi, Harry.
Thank you for your feedback and information. Having been a moderator on a board, I completely understand how much time it takes to maintain a forum for which you have responsibility let alone manage and attend to the site itself. Add on that we all have a real life, time can become a precious commodity. Again, thank you. Regards, |

Can you please delete the the three threads that were created in haste? We don't need them just yet until we decide what to do based on what the mods decide to do.

don't be hasty, folks have been using them. I am sure that they can resurrect to wherever their permanent home will be. the majority of the group indicated that they wanted at least two threads for this; one currently reading, and one have read

If it's not too late to propose stuff, maybe a general Reading Recommendation subforum along the lines of "Member Reading Challenges" or "Personal Reading Goals".
That could house not just the 100 Books in the Year 20XX threads, but also people who might want to try "Top 20 Classics You Must Read Before You Die" or "How Much Have You Read From This List of 50 Best Robot Sci-Fi Thrillers Ever?" or "Rotating Themed Book of the Week" kind of things. |

Moderator Notice
The creation of additional threads has made mod discussion and coming to a decision more difficult. From additional member comments, it has also become very confusing. This is suppose to be a fun social group for a reading challenge with group support and discussion. It has become extremely scattered and many probably don't or will not be able to keep up with additional postings in so many threads. The additional threads will be closed and be on hold until a more organized solution is decided by moderation, based on your reports, suggestions, and discussions. You may continue to record your read books in your social group posts until threads are opened and ready for group posting. Please be patient while we come to a solution for organizing posts that don't involve double posting. |
