New Windows Kobo Desktop does not launch
Running 64 bit Windows7 Pro
The desktop software does not launch after installation. Just the spinning circle for a few seconds. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, re-downloaded several times. Tried running the installer off of my original Kobo device but it seems to fetch the latest desktop software from the web which leaves me no further ahead. Only hint is that the installer skips from about 3/4 done in the progress bar to the installation finished dialogue. Also installed c++ redist from MS which didn't help. Suggestions appreciated. |

Do you have any USB devices connected to your computer when you try to launch the application?

Disconnected everything except mouse - no change (reinstalled too).

SD card installed in computer? In other threads people have said that once they took the card out of their card reader slot, the install worked.

Thanks! Removed my USB key (readyboost) and it launches. Crashed halfway through sync though a few times but now working.
