Question English - German dictionary

Hi,

I already read a few threads about dictionaries here.
So I found also the way how to do it.
But I do not have a english-german dictionary and did not find one (free) to download in the internet.
In some threads I read that some of you already have one and also convert it to (w/o DRM) MOBI.
I would appreciate if someone could upload it for me.
That would be great!

Please me.

Red face

I still keep looking in the internet, but I still didn't find a free dictionary.

If maybe one of you know where to find one, which works with kindel.
I really need one, because I read a lot of english book and it would be easier to look up the word directly.

So I still hope someone of you can help me out in this point.

Please!

You can download a free Stardict Dictionary from here:
http://www.stardict.org/forum/viewto...f=10&t=1036371
and convert first to text then to mobi format.

Or you can buy:
http://www.libri.de/shop/action/prod...h_deutsch.html
but you have to remove the DRM

Thank you very much for your answer!

But I have to confess, I'm not able to convert it.
But I keep on try it.

Edit: Changed so it isn't against some rules anymore

You are asking people to do something that is illegal as well as a violation of the rules of this board. A moderator is likely to advice you to reconsider.

I'm sorry for that.
I did not mind it that way.
I will delete the post and hope to find a way to do it for my own.

You can find the information for converting the stardict dictionary here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=stardict+mobi
But you need to convert the startdict.ifo file to a text file. I did this under Linux with pyglossary. I don't know how to do this under Windows.

I'm really not good at this

At the moment i'm thinking about to by a dictionary from Mobipocket.
But before I buy it, is it really practical to use it at Kindle for look up?
(Now let's see if I find a way to strip drm... )

actually depending where OP is located it may not be illegal to remove DMR (recent court rulling in the U.S. have allowed owners of DVDs/CDs/mp3s to remove DMR for the purpose of making personal copies). of course it is still against forum rules... just my $0.2

here is one of many articles: http://thenextweb.com/us/2010/07/26/...gal-sometimes/
just search in google: court ruling makes DMR removal legal

Thank you all for your help!

You are great!!!

I bought one, get rid of DRM and tried hours for hours to convert it to mobi-format.
And now I get a hint, that it works fine as PRC on Kindle.
So it was.
It works great and it was easy to set is at new dictionary.

So everything is fine.

Now I can go on reading my english books.
