Firmware versions summarized
Tiersten posted the changes and fixes in each firmware version in this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...mware+versions This question comes up a lot; we really need to get Tiersten's thread stickied!
I am using the 3.0.3 firmware for my Kindle 3; I've been using it since October and have had no problems. Not sure why Amazon hasn't made it "official" as yet. It seems like the 3.0.1 version was official for about a week when suddenly the 3.0.2 version became the new official version - this is a slight exaggeration, but to me it seemed like a very quick change from official 3.0.1 to beta 3.0.2 to official 3.0.2! In comparison, 3.0.3 is taking a long time to become the authorized version. Holly Last edited by OakIris; 01-05-2011 at 11:49 AM. Reason: spelling :o |

But 3.0.2 disappeared and it is no longer official nor beta. I've got 3.0.2. Maybe it's time to upgrade to 3.0.3????

Why don't they give an option to download it by wi-fi? I don't like to use cables if I don't have to. I am too lazy ;-)
