iLiad Connection Manager Issue

Hi guys,

I am using the connection manager script to have internet for my applications, like elinks or iNewsStand. There is a issue though, when I am trying to connect to a secure network, using https with eLinks-it supports it and thanks for that-, my connection drops before I could go and login with my network account of my university. It seems to me that the connection manager tests the connection with their server first and then leaves the connection open. I found this out by connecting my laptop and having the same MAC address of my iLiad-it was a short process to do that by long one to explain. So, can we just change the connection manager script to accept the connection when it receives an just an ip? That would help further on to login secure networks that have browser based authentication.
