Forager, YA Post Apocalyptic Ebook FREE on Kindle

Forager, Book One in the Forager Trilogy, is a Young Adult Post Apocalyptic Dystopian novel. It is currently FREE on Amazon Kindle. It has 44 reviews with a 4.2 rating.

Available from Amazon US as below:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GUB9DGA

Special Promotion - If you download 'Forager' from Amazon (or Kobo, iTunes, B&N), buzz me a PM, tell me the names of the five foragers in Ethan's foraging team, give me your email address, and I will send you a pdf of my 'Dreams Forsaken & Other Short Stories Booklet.'

Eighteen-year-old Ethan Jones has a secret that even his parents and foraging companions don't know. And if that secret is discovered, he'll be dragged away by the town's draconian paramilitary Custodians to be dissected like a frog.

The only time he feels safe, the only time he feels free, is when he's out in the ruins of 2122 AD Melbourne, foraging for scrap metals. The dull, drudgery of his life, however, is shattered when he rescues a mysterious Japanese girl from the degenerate, savage Skel. A girl who then breaks the town's rigid conventions in her attempts to get to know him, a girl who also carries the pain of a broken heart.

Meanwhile, the nomadic Skel savages are ramping up their attacks on Newhome's foraging teams and infesting Melbourne's ruins in ever greater numbers. Is this part of a larger plan that could spell the town's doom?

* Forager is Book One in the Forager Trilogy and has 71,250 words. *

Kobo also has it free. But, I can see two versions with different covers. http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebo...topian-trilogy and http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebook/forager. Other than the cover, is there a difference?

Hi David,

The Kindle version on Amazon.com is an up to date version with some typos weeded out. So that is the best one to get if you can.

Otherwise, this one http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebo...topian-trilogy is a more recent upload than the other one.

Kind Regards
Peter

OK, that's the one I grabbed from Kobo last night. There was something about the guy and the background on the cover of the other version that bugged me. Of course, now I'm wondering: Post-apocalyptic world, where does she get the pink dye from? And have the time to do it.

I started it this morning but, I'm not far enough in to judge. I had something poking at the back of my brain and writing this has made it surface. It has made me think of "The Sea and Summer" or "Drowning Towers" by George Turner. I think it's just because they are both post-apocalypse story set in Melbourne rather than any real similarity.

Hi David,

Thanks for downloading it, I'm sure you will enjoy it. 'Forager' is a mystery, and has clues threaded throughout the story, which will become apparent as the story progresses.
