Where is the color E Ink that was promised to us?

Last year they promised us that they'd be ready to ship color screens by the end of this year. Where do we stand now?

It has been awefully quiet about E Ink, and I have no idea whether it's going to take another 1 year, 2, 5, or 10 years for them to come out with a color screen.

Any guesses?

You know, these schedules are always way too optimistic, sometimes bordering on vapourware or naive wishful thinking.

I believe that color eink being a recent invention compared to a recent evolution, has quite a number of bugs to iron out. As I've said before, with any such device, the developpers always try to reinvent the wheel by designing a new computer instead of taking an existing one and focusing on the display interfacing.

Patience, the result will be gratifying! Drool!
