T2 wishes
Isn't it time for speculation and wishful thinking.
Anyway, I'm quite happy with my (rooted) T1, but for the next model I'd really appreciate an option to select books by folder browsing. The collection idea doesn't work for me at all.
And recently read i.o. recently added.

T1 hardware seems fine to me. Software could do with improvements.
Better/easier margin settings and control over line space are high on my wish list (I like how the Kobo touch handles both of these).

I'm happy with my T1 but if they really wanted to improve it they could add micro SDXC support, some side buttons and most imprtantly a matte bezel. It would also be useful to have some more book sorting options for titles that aren't in collections.

I'd like to be able to choose page refresh rates like on the Nook or Kobo. I'd also like tap page turning and I wish they'd make it easier to register for us non-US-folks.

I do really like my T1, but if we're making lists:

-Everything Morkl's reader add-on addresses: custom fonts, margins, justification, page refresh
-Customizable font that will override ePub fonts (whether it does or not is selectable)
-Everything Morkl's home page add-on addresses: Recently Read, customizable shortcut buttons
-Shortcut to Last Collection opened
-Side page turn buttons
-Matte bezel
-Fix the double page turn bug (doesn't happen all that often, but it is a bug)
-Slightly faster navigation between menus
-Rounder corners
-Choice to use tap or swipe page turns
-Fix the bug with Collection indexing, SD cards and Calibre

FLEx lighting (www.flexlighting.com) would be handy, although I'm not sure what it might do to the price (which is already too high compared to the competition).

I want "sort by author" to sort by the author's last name, like it would be in a library - not by first name, the way it does now.

How about bringing back the choice to navigate in the TOC by letter (the "A" - "Z" sidebar) for those who load LOTS of books on their readers. The omission of that feature is one reason I never upgraded.

I'd like to have the option of which three books are shown - I'd prefer three last opened rather than last loaded (and I know PRS+ can do this; it'd just be nice to have it built into the Sony OEM software).

In addition to some of the excellent suggestions above, I'd like to be able to customize the menu items (for example, replacing the defunct Google Books menu item with something else).
