Sony Reader PRS 505; Advice

Hi

I am a "newbie" to the SOny 505. I was wondering if anyone can give me advice.

When I installed the new version of Calibre on my computer, I followed all the instructions in the Wizard set up. However, when it asked me to select my device, I clicked on the Sony icon and my model number was not there. (In the instructional video, my model was there.)

What model should I check: There is the PRS 500 and the Pocket edition?

Also in the setup section of the interface (In preferences), what should I check off?

Welcome to the forum! And may your reader give you years and years of fun.

You can ignore the setup, it will detect your Reader quite fine

as for the preferences, you might want to have either .epub or .lit formats, but they both work ok on the PRS-505.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but you'd want to select Pocket Edition if it won't let you just ignore the prompt.
