Syncing up Metadata

Is there a way with Calibre to sync up metadata between the database and the various formats without having to do any reconversion?

For instance, I've imported a bunch of drm free .mobi files and fixed up titles and things to make locating them easier on an ebook reader. I've also exported them all to epub format in anticipation of the new Cybook firmware.

Now, I'd like to export all the metadata changes I've made back into the mobi files. Is there a way to do that?

I think you will have to do a mobi->mobi conversion to make this happen.

Wouldn't be a problem except for one file (so far) that fails the conversion.

I think the metadata is also updated if you do a Save to Disk. You could try that and then add the exported file back into the library.

Hrm, that's something to try anyway. Let me give it a shot.

Well, that looks like it worked... So it's a solution for any files that don't take to the MOBI->MOBI conversion.

Can't wait for the epub firmware though.
