Nook HD - Build quality
I haven't used mine after the initial 2 days.
Now, after maybe 3 weeks, I took it out of the closet again. Bah. Still totally hate it. I haven't seen such a low build quality for quite some time. Display would be great, interface is fine as well. But the gaps between frame and housing kill all fun for me. I've ordered from the US for Germany, so sending it back isn't worth the effort. I guess, I'll try the aggressive solution: Ripping off the frame and trying to glue it back on. Either I rip it apart, then it's no harm. I won't use it anyway the way it looks now. Or I can solve it, but it still will bother me how B&N could deliver such sub-par quality... You see the gaps even of official photos in some reviews: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...69&postcount=4 https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...77&postcount=5 Edit: I can't glue it. The frame fits only loosely. In lots of areas it doesn't directly connect to the frame. No wonder there are gaps. The frame only is fixed ca. every 5 centimeters or so...
