CodeWaevers CrossOver Mac/Linux product Free for Oct. 28, 2008 only

For those who have the Sony Reader and and a Mac or other Unix-deriviative, this may allow you to run the Sony eLibrary application. I wouldn't use it for firmware upgrades.

Somewhat to my amusement, it's delivered as a shar archive. It's been some time since I dealt with one of those...

Nope doesn't work....

Unfortunately, the Sony Library fails to install completely at all under Crossover Office. It didn't work under the previous release, and doesn't work under this current (free) release. A great product at a great price though, can't beat free.

I can pull up the error log if anyone might be able to make sense of it to maybe work out how to get the program to install.

Are you talking about running that on the Mac? If so... you can't.. the exe is a windows binary. However, you can run the perl script on the Mac. Here are some docs. https://dev.mobileread.com/trac/mobi...dModulesonaMac
