Wells H G Short Stories

Hi,

Obviously many of H G Wells's works are readily available at Prj Guttenberg and elsewhere. Adelaide.edu.au have a good collection, both fiction & non fiction.

Wells wrote about 88 (?) short stories many are available as individual texts however they have a single vol of 65 (the index says 67, Time Machine & a duplicate of Pearl of Love being the other 2).

HG Wells Short Stories

Other than actually buying John Hammonds 'The Complete Short Stories of H G Wells' which includes various works not included in other anthologies, this ebook is as near to a definitive collection as you're likely to find, - unless of course you have better info

That's a nice an well formatted web site, but it's not an ePub book. Why don't open your .html files with Sigil or Calibre and create a nice ePub?

Once you get to the web page, there are links on the right for downloading epub or mobi versions.

Adelaide is a great Australian site for public domain works.

Cool Ah, memories.....

The first ever "big" book I ever bought for myself was this [or a similar] collection, in hardback, when around 8 y-o.

Rather more years later than is necessary to mention here, it still survives, a bit dishevelled in its now faded blue clothes, but on my son's bookshelf.
Said it was a bit it too fragile to lug off to University.

I now have my New Age copy......

So I'll tip him off too................

Thanks

Delphi Classics also has a complete works of H.G. Wells which includes all of his short stories. There is a separate version for the US due to different limits on copyright in different jurisdictions.

The Delphi Classics books are well formatted, include a TOC listing the entire, complete works plus a TOC for individual works within the complete sets. Their complete works series are available in ePub and Mobi and are sold without DRM for $1.99 to $2.99 each. All the ones I've read are well formatted but they are constantly posting "fixes" to errors which are downloaded free to anyone who already bought a copy.

H.G. Wells in ePub format is here:

http://delphiclassics.com/shop/?p=1868

Choose "Series 1..." from the column on the left and page to the screen with H.G. Wells (US version) if you can't use the one I listed above.
