The iOS Reader Applications and Marvin XD calibre plugins are currently incompatible with the latest calibre 2.0. @Philantrop and myself are aware of the issue and are investigating a fix.

Does this mean that we can't use Calibre to copy books to Marvin on an iPad or only that we can't use the additional features of Marvin XD?

No. iOSRA doesn't work either, so no copying.

New releases for both iOS reader applications as well as Marvin XD have been published on their respective threads.

It appears that the updated plugins are not fully functional: Opening the customization dialog leads to the error below. This happens with the complete customization dialog of the iOS reader plugin and with the custom column assignment of Marvin XD.

This is an issue from switching between Calibre 1.x and 2.x.

As a one-time measure, try doing the following:

You should uninstall the plugins completely first (the following describes the procedure for iOS reader apps but it's similar for Marvin XD - if it smells like either, kill it):

- Go to Preferences | Advanced | Plugins | Device Interface plugins, select iOS reader applications.
- Click Remove plugin.
- Click Apply.
- Go to Preferences | Advanced | Miscellaneous, click Open calibre configuration directory.
- Open the plugins folder.
- Delete iOS reader applications.json.
- Delete the iOS_reader_applications_resources folder.
- Restart calibre.

Then try installing the plugin(s) again.
