Classic B&N no longer selling ebooks!

They've rebranded them as NOOKbooks on their website. I don't know, I think that's just going too far.

I think that is a good idea. Perhaps now there will be less confusion for people who in the past who bought B&N ebooks expecting to read them on their Kindle or Sony readers.

Great idea. It's all about branding so Nookbooks makes a lot of sense. It's catchy enough that I think it will have traction.

They have [nookbooks (ebooks)] after each PubIt! book. I like how they separated the two.

Yeah this makes sense. nook Study, nook Kids, nookbooks. They are trying to create a brand and get the nook name associated with ebooks. Now it is all about the kindle so they need to do more to make nook a solid brand name.

Nookbook is fun to say. I never was very fond of saying "ebook" for electronic texts. I can easily see myself calling all ebooks nookbooks, the way I call all tissues 'Kleenex' and all internet searches 'googling.'

I really hope it does catch on.
