I guess it depends on your taste. I've read the MHI series and enjoyed it greatly, it's more action packed and gun oriented, less majical. I've read the first Alex Verus novel and while I liked it, it seemed more young adult than what I cared for. Larry Correia also has him Grimnoir Chronicles books which I found interesting as well. |

Wondering if I should add the Spencer link to that post or the original one. Oh, and you may want to add Skin Game to your post as well - HERE. Last edited by Nyssa; 01-29-2014 at 04:11 PM. Reason: Fixed Error in the Link |

I was going to start it next month (Sunday) but I think I've changed my mind. It seems a little daunting when added to all of the other books I'd like to read over the next couple of months. I've preordered Skin Game and should get it on release day, so I may plan to read everything this summer. I don't know yet. I'm a very moody reader! |

Ok... I've finished book 4 of Dresden files. What a great book!! I loved it! Loved the humor too. Started book 5 this morning to listen to while sewing. Really strange though. I'm using the Audible app and increased the speed on book 4 to 1.25. It SEEMS like it is faster, but in fact, took the same amount of time. I'm puzzled about this. Anyway, after book 5, I have the next two on CD, so will have to rip to the Ipod.
Did I remember correctly that Jim Butcher was planning to wind up the series at Book 20? |

An Apocalyptic Trilogy

Not exactly, he continues to state that he has 20'ish (the 'ish' indicates that the 20 is not set in concrete) planned case books to be capped off with an 'Apocalyptic Trilogy'. |

Skin Game release...
117 Days!!! I can't wait to do the re-read before the release. I pre-ordered Skin Game from Amazon so hopefully I can time it just right so I start Skin Game on release day. It will also be the first time I read Side Jobs in between the main books. I completely forgot I had it during my last re-read of the series . |
