Contacts viewer for PRS-1?

Hi.

Anyone know of a contacts viewer that will actually install on my rooted PRS-1? All the ones I've found on the Play Store are flagged as not compatible.

It would be rather cool to carry around my address book on my reader

Thanks.

I'd print them to a PDF and use it as a document.

I'd go for andyh2000's option....
=> the stock Google contacts do work if you install the contacts-sync thing etc..., but after reboot, you have to install it again; and it's also not easy / user-friendly to scroll through the long list with the refresh of the e-ink screen.

Of course, it would be possible to make a specific Android contacts app for the PRS-T1, but I don't have enough time at the moment (and even then, are there enough people interested in this?)....

JFYI ;-)

Hi. Thanks for the responses I have the contacts-sync component installed, but the contacts client app does not seem to be present. What do I launch?

I was hoping to use the search facility rather than scroll.

Thanks!

But also this post:

=> I didn't get further (and as I put off my device each evening, and put on each morning, it would be always removed - so I stopped installing it each time)
[I experienced several some problems when not rebooting the device for several days, so I just put it off at the moment each evening)

Thanks very much for the info. I'll give it a go. Sounds like it is surprisingly flaky though. It's always the seemingly simple things isn't it. From reading around it sounds like the contacts is inextricably linked to the dialler code, which is mainly stubbed on the PRS-1 (unsurprisingly). One thing I know they've sorted out on ICS is fixing this mess.

Not like this is the end of the world or anything, just a nice to have
