Calibre can't perform scheduled update when...

I set Calibre to update my rss feeds during early morning, as they take a long time. I find 2 instances when Calibre fails, and I have to go to work with yesterdays news on my Kindle, as there is no time to d/l in the morning.

1) Calibre fails to complete tasks if a new version release notification occurs.. Please make Calibre able to complete scheduled tasks despite new release.
2) If I go to sleep with radio streaming from www.wyce.org, Calibre cannot d/l. Tried it right now, and get failed if streaming with ADOBE : error as follows:
