Book titles are different
When I upload a book to Calibre ( non-drm epub or mobi ), I then edit the meta data to change the title .
When I upload this epub book to my Kobo or the mobi version to my Kindle, the title listed is often different. Obviously this data is stored elsewhere. Where is the book title listed on My Kindle stored, if it is not in the meta information listed in Calibre when I press E and edit it? How can I access and edit it? Otherwise I just love this program! Thank you |

In that case metadata wont be updated in the files. Use the send to device button in calibre instead.

Just to clarify - the metadata inside files is updated either when you do a "Send to Device" or when you do a format conversion.

Silly Question
When I send to device, does the Metadata in the Library (master copy) get updated or only the copy sent to the device? |

Does anyone know if this is on the wish list yet?
I would really like to have an option that says when I update the metadata of a book it updates all existing formats with that metadata. Troy |
