HELP! My KPW1 need help!
Hi,guys. I have made some mistakes when I fix brick(kindlepaperwhite one).
I had done the "Erase MMC0", and then "Export FAT partition". After that, I tried to open it, but the computer could't read the disk, so I choosed the optin to format it, then I copied the upgrade package inside, after "Update using update*.bin file on FAT partition", It showed me something, but I had no idea what to do, so I ended the connection. Then I tried to set up the connection again. It showed me this as follows: ? - alias for 'help' bist - start Built In Self Test boot - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd' bootd - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd' bootm - boot application image from memory go - start application at address 'addr' help - print online help idme - idme - Set nv ram variables log - manipulate logbuffer printenv- print environment variables reset - Perform RESET of the CPU run - run commands in an environment variable setenv - set environment variables version - print monitor version uboot > bootm Wrong Image Format for bootm command ERROR: can't get kernel image! uboot > ? ? - alias for 'help' bist - start Built In Self Test boot - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd' bootd - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd' bootm - boot application image from memory go - start application at address 'addr' help - print online help idme - idme - Set nv ram variables log - manipulate logbuffer printenv- print environment variables reset - Perform RESET of the CPU run - run commands in an environment variable setenv - set environment variables version - print monitor version uboot > Can anyone help me? I know nothing about these commands. Thx! |

or at least your PW1 is. "Erase MMC0" does just what the label describes - - Including the user and device specific information **outside** of the partitioned portions of the flash chip. So unless you made a copy of that section of the flash storage yourself . . . . . - - - - What you see is the u-boot (bootloader) prompt - but only a reduced command set version. Run the "bist" entry to reach the full command set version of u-boot (if it is still there, it probably is). google: u-boot or uboot |
