Deleting specific format only

Can I delete only specified format(s) instead of the entire book. I'm trying to start an epub library and don't' really want to keep the various other formats. My current process is:

a. add book(s)
b. convert to epub
c. save epub book to disk
d. delete multi-format book from calibre
e. add epub book

As you can see this is a long way to a work-around.

Go to the "Edit Metadata" screen for a book. This allows you to add or delete individual formats.
