How about Orpheus? He was an artsy type, and is known for having conducted an almost perfect (except for one minor detail) search and retrieval operation.

Well acidzebra, here comes yet another naming problem. What is the Java standalone command line client supposed to be named?

Brevity is king on the commandline - chances are you will have to type it out a lot. |

[quote]bookowl could be a good name i think. sadly it is taken. in fact someone seems to have bought up quite a lot of variations on (e)book + owl. however e-book.owl.com is available, so is e-book-owl.comI havent checked bookowl-that-is-seriously-not-bumping-into-tree-trunks - but I'd wager that it is free Quote:
What are small owls called? Tawny owl? Then the client could be called Tawny (This is easier in German .. We have Eulen (owl), Uhus (eagle owl), Käuzchen (tawny or small owl), etc) |

Actually ...with Windows most people wouldnt know how to use the commandline - so they would simply point and click and ignore the name. With *NIX 'double tab' should do the trick in most shells.

bookowl sounds like bookle (I imagine it on a white page with coloured letters and a simple search field...). Without the "e", just in case Gianfranco will extend his engine to p-books sold on line...
